Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in your area of expertise (Art, Music, Theater, STEM, or Movement) for students in grades 3–8

  • Develop age-appropriate lesson plans tailored to the GET SMArT summer curriculum and schedule

  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and academic growth

  • Collaborate with co-teachers, teaching assistants, and program coordinators to support student success

  • Maintain accurate attendance records and communicate student progress as needed

  • Participate in mandatory orientation on July 6, 2026 (9am–1pm), and all scheduled program days: July 7 through July 31, 2026

  • Supervise students during transitions, ensemble rehearsals, and other scheduled program activities such as the end of program theater show (July 29, 2026) or concert (July 30, 2026)

Essential Skills and/or Experience:

  • Strong classroom management skills and experience working with elementary and middle school students

  • Ability to differentiate instruction for varied learning levels within grades 3–8

  • Experience in curriculum planning and executing multi-week instructional units

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff

GET SMArT Program -Teaching Assistant2026-2027-2

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support certified teachers in delivering instruction across program areas including Art, Music, Theater, STEM, Movement, and/or Business

  • Assist with classroom management, student engagement, and hands-on activities for students in grades 3–8

  • Provide individualized support to students as directed by the lead teacher

  • Help prepare and organize materials, equipment, classrooms, and supplies for daily instruction.

  • Supervise students as needed during transitions, ensemble rehearsals, break periods, and other scheduled program activities such as the end of program theater show (July 29, 2026) or concert (July 30, 2026).

  • Participate in mandatory orientation on July 6, 2026 (9am–1pm), and all scheduled program days: July 7 through July 31, 2026

  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment

Summer Music Choral and Orchestra Pre-Clinic- Certified Teachers2026-2027-5

Work with choral and string students in grades 9–12 across large ensemble rehearsals and small group settings.

July 6–10, 2026

Choral Pre-Clinic - 3:00pm - 6:00pm 

Orchestra Pre-Clinic - 4:00pm - 9:00pm

$55.16 per hour

Serve as a distinguished guest conductor leading choral and string students in grades 9–12 through an intensive week culminating in a public performance.

Dates and Times:

July 13–17, 2026 

Choral Clinic - 2:00pm - 6:00pm

Orchestra Clinic - 4:00pm - 9:00pm

$55.16 per hour
