Job Description

GET SMArT- Summer Music, Art and Technology Program

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support certified teachers in delivering instruction across program areas including Art, Music, Theater, STEM, Movement, and/or Business

• Assist with classroom management, student engagement, and hands-on activities for students in grades 3–8

• Provide individualized support to students as directed by the lead teacher

• Help prepare and organize materials, equipment, classrooms, and supplies for daily instruction.

• Supervise students as needed during transitions, ensemble rehearsals, break periods, and other scheduled program activities such as the end of program theater show (July 29, 2026) or concert (July 30, 2026).

• Participate in mandatory orientation on July 6, 2026 (9am–1pm), and all scheduled program days: July 7 through July 31, 2026

• Maintain a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment

Program Areas Available for TA Support:

• Music – Band, Strings, Guitar/Ukulele, World Music Drumming, Sound Mixing

• STEM

• Theater

• Art

• Movement

• Business

Essential Skills and/or Experience:

• Experience working with children in grades 3–8 in a school, camp, or community setting

• Ability to support diverse learners and respond to varied student needs

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Enthusiasm for arts, music, STEM, and enrichment programming

• Ability to take direction from lead teachers and program coordinators

 

 

 

 

Job Qualifications

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Prior experience working at GET SMArT or similar summer enrichment programs preferred.

• Candidates unavailable for all dates may be considered for substitute/as-needed roles only.

Note: Separate applications are required for Marching Band, Tigerettes, Flagline, Orchestra, and Choral Clinics.
