Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction across all core content areas (ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies). Implement evidence-based literacy practices grounded in the Science of Reading research to ensure all students reach grade-level proficiency. Provide robust Tier 1 interventions to support struggling learners and offer meaningful enrichment opportunities for students exceeding benchmarks. Apply a deep understanding of child development to create a classroom environment that fosters Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and psychological safety. Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.

Essential Skills and/or Experiences:

Proven ability to establish strong, trusting connections with students and maintain proactive, positive relationships with families. Prior middle school experience preferred, with a track record of effective classroom management. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills when collaborating with stakeholders. A genuine willingness to participate in school-wide events, committees, and the broader life of the school community.

Preferred Skills and/or Experiences:

Knowledge of the ELA & Social Studies NYS Learning Standards and Curriculum in the 6th grade. Experience with English Language Learners (ELL) and implementing culturally responsive teaching practices. Familiarity with the Responsive Classroom approach to build a positive and inclusive school climate. Strong collaborative spirit and experience working within a Professional Learning Community (PLC) to analyze student work and improve practice.

Elementary Education Leave Replacement Teacher (First Grade) Anticipated16-26/27

Deliver developmentally appropriate instruction to support young children’s academic, social, and emotional growth. Responsibilities include teaching early literacy and numeracy skills, fostering positive classroom behavior, creating a safe and engaging learning environment, assessing student progress, and communicating regularly with families and school staff.

Special Education Leave Replacement Teacher (Grade 4-ICT)14-26/27

Special Education/ Integrated Co-Taught Setting/ 4th Grade

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Special Education Teacher to join our 4th-grade team in an Integrated Co-Teaching (ICT) classroom. In this role, you will work as a full partner alongside a general education teacher to support a diverse classroom of students with and without disabilities. Your primary goal is to ensure that students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) have full access to the general education curriculum through specially designed instruction and differentiation.

Essential Skills and/or Experiences:

  • Teaching experience in an integrated co-taught classroom, preferably in upper elementary grades.

Preferred Skills and/or Experiences:

  • Partner with the general education teacher to plan and deliver high quality, standards-aligned instruction using various co-teaching models.
  • Develop, implement, and track progress for student IEP goals.
  • Serve as a case manager, completing progress reports and participating in Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings.
  • Provide specially designed instruction by adapting and modifying grade-level lessons and materials to meet individual student needs, ensuring all students are both supported and challenged.
  • Regularly assess student progress and use data to adjust instructional strategies, interventions, and accommodations.
  • Maintain frequent and clear communication with families regarding student progress and overall growth.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and structured classroom environment grounded in the Responsive Classroom framework that promotes mutual respect among all students and prioritizes social-emotional growth.
