Job Description

Secondary Mathematics and Special Education certification required — Dual certification.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Secondary Math ICT Algebra II (special education teacher) Self Contained Algebra 1 extended (special ed math teacher) Resource Room - 2 periods (special ed) Special Education and Math leave replacement (dually certified). Seeking a dynamic math and special ed certified teacher with strong communication skills and ability to work well with others.

Essential Skills and/or Experience:

Math AND Special Education certifications.

Preferred Skills and/or Experiences:

• Secondary experience preferred
• Algebra I and Algebra II teaching experience preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills as well as special education experience.
• Experience working with high school students, serving as a member of the Committee on Special Education (CSE), contributing to the development, review, and the implementation of IEPs.

Dates of Leave:

Effective approximately December 21, 2026, to approximately March 20, 2027

 

 

 

Job Qualifications

Required Certification:

• NYS Certification in Mathematics 7-12 AND NYS Certification in Special Education 7-12
• Dual certification required
