Job Description

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Teaching 5 classes of social studies
• Function as a member of the Department and the HS building team of teachers.

Essential Skills and/or Experience:

• Effective Communicator, Productive Collaborator, Critical thinker, Problem Solver, Creative Educator, Global and Future Focus

Required Certifications:

• NYS Social Studies 7-12
• Experience teaching at a high school preferred

Dates of Leave: August 31, 2026 to October 9, 2026

This is a temporary leave position, but it is anticipated that the successful candidate will remain on staff for the entire school year as the High School Social Studies Department Permanent Substitute.
