Job Description

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• 8th grade middle school counselor duties
• Working knowledge of eSchool, middle school scheduling, mandated counseling.

Essential Skills and/or Experiences:

• Strong knowledge of adolescent development
• Ability to provide academic, social, emotional, and behavioral support
• Experience with individual and small group counseling, crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills
• Knowledge of MTSS, 504 plans, and IEP processes
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Job Qualifications

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Effective March 20, 2026
• NYS School Counselor certification required 
• Prior experience working with middle school students preferred
