Job Description

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide targeted interventions for struggling readers. Utilize data to drive instruction and document students’ responses to interventions

Essential Skills and /or Experiences:

• Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, parents, classroom teachers and administration.
• Familiarity with the Science of Reading research and implications on student learning.
• Thorough understanding of how to utilize decodable texts and explicit instruction to increase student skills across Scarborough’s Reading Rope.
• Experience using intervention programs and progress monitoring tools to instruct a wide variety of skill levels in the RtI setting.

Job Qualifications

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Effective August 31, 2026
• NYS Literacy Certification B-6 OR NYS Reading Certification K-12
• Experience/training in Wilson Reading System

Additional Certifications:

• Wilson Reading preferred
